RESUME
Introduction : L’éducation au patrimoine géologique marocain en général, et le patrimoine volcanique en particulier est directement conditionnée entre autres par les pratiques enseignantes et par le contenu des manuels scolaires. Objectifs : Dans cette étude, nous avons tenté de cerner l'apport des manuels scolaires dans l’éducation au patrimoine volcanique marocain ; d’apporter quelques propositions stratégiques pour une meilleure prise en compte de cette éducation à ce patrimoine. Méthode : Pour atteindre nos objectifs : nous avons analysé le contenu des manuels scolaires des SVT de la 2ème année du cycle secondaire collégial marocain traitant le concept volcan. Résultats : Les résultats montrent que, l’apport des manuels dans l’éducation est presque inexistant du fait que ces volcans sont absents ou figurent de façon timide dans ces manuels. Conclusion : Ces résultats nous interpellent à recommander des mesures à prendre concernant à la fois la mise à jour du contenu des manuels scolaires des SVT et l’éducation au patrimoine volcanique en Sciences de la Terre, qui est une composante essentielle de l’éducation à la citoyenneté et au développement durable.

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Education about Moroccan geological heritage in general, and volcanic heritage in particular, is directly conditioned, both by teaching practices and the content of school textbooks. Objectives: In this study, we have tried to identify the contribution of textbooks in the education of Moroccan volcanic heritage; and to make proposals on how to promote heritage education. Method: To achieve our objectives: we analyzed the content of Life and Earth Science (LES) textbooks from the 2nd year of the Moroccan college secondary cycle dealing with the volcano concept. Résultats: The results show that the textbooks also did not accord sufficient importance to this heritage education. Conclusion The result poses a serious challenge supporting heritage education by updating the content of its textbooks and by introducing maps, images of Moroccan volcanoes, it helps include citizenship and sustainable development and cultural heritage in education activities in schools and in the field trip.
