ABSTRACT
Aleukemic leukemia cutis (ALC) is defined by an inaugural skin involvement in the absence of a synchronous bone marrow or peripheral blood implication. Systemic leukemia usually precedes leukemia cutis (LC) but in 7% of the cases, the LC presents as a forerunner of leukemia, highlighting the importance of skin biopsy because skin lesions are the only expression of malignancy in ALC. We present a fatal case of ALC that revealed an acute myeloid leukemia in an infant.
