ABSTRACT

Background: In the classical teaching/learning relationship, the teacher addresses all the students.  The processes of transmission and acquisition of knowledge are implemented. This research is based on the theory of socioconstructivism contextualized by Darnis. Objectives: The objectives of this study were to identify the different obstacles related to the learning of the backward roll skill in gymnastics and to establish the level of effectiveness of the learning on the adapted didactic treatment. Methodology: Our approach will be based on systematic observation based on the case study with the sixth-grade students of the Liberté general education school in Brazzaville. This approach made it possible to verify a set of hypotheses. Results: The results obtained revealed the role of the teacher in the teaching/learning process at this important level in the training of learners. They invite the teacher to position himself more as a mediator, a tutor, a regulator and a resource person in the devices for putting students into activity. The teacher will be increasingly called upon to "establish a new relationship with the learner, moving from the role of soloist to that of accompanist, becoming not so much the one who dispenses knowledge as the one who helps his or her students find, organize and manage knowledge. Conclusion: In sum, these results have led to proposed solutions that are for us an interesting framework to increase the power of intervention of PE teachers and optimize the learning of motor behaviors of learners.
