American Journal of Innovative Research & Applied Sciences
The Centre for Nutrition Research at the University of Navarra has opened a process of selection of two full-time researchers for the next coming months. We are looking for internationally oriented, enthusiastic and experienced candidates with an excellent research record, capable of complement and enhance the current research lines of the Centre.
We are offering full-time employment in a research-oriented university that carries out both fundamental and applied scientific research.
Candidates should be successful research leaders who like to work in an innovative and dynamic working environment and want to create successful collaborations with external research and industrial partners and have a focus on both basic and applied research.
Responsibilities and tasks
Candidates will:
be responsible for the implementation of basic and applied research within their areas;
establish synergies between their own research and other related research activities;
maintain a strong national and international network of contacts with leading research groups, as well as pursuing industrial contacts within the food industry;
be capable of effective knowledge exchange with society and industry;
attract external research grants from industry, national and international sources.

Pre-selected candidates will be contacted for a 2nd stage evaluation by submitting a 3-year Scientific Plan proposal.

PhD position in computer science and affective computing, Switzerland
We are looking for a candidate with a solid background in signal processing for a fully-funded PhD position at the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences and Computer Vision and Multimedia Laboratory (CVML), computer science department, University of Geneva. The research, to be undertaken by the student, focuses on analyzing the interactions between facial expressions and electroencephalogram (EEG) signals with the aim of reducing unwanted interferences and recognizing emotions. Research will involve recording and analyzing EEG signals and facial expressions using Bayesian estimation methods.

UNIL Master's grants at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland
To facilitate access to Master’s degrees by students with qualifications from foreign universities, the University of Lausanne makes available around ten Master’s grants which are awarded on a competitive basis.
Programmes concerned
Candidates must choose a Master's programme from among those offered by the UNIL, except:
- Master of Medicine
- Master of Arts in Sciences and Practices of Education
- Master of Law from the Universities of Zurich and Lausanne
- Master of Law in Criminal Sciences, judiciary mention
